More 70.3 medals, more happy athletes…

January 30, 2018

IRONMAN 70.3 Buffalo City 2018 was once again a truly and very memorable experience for both the first time Embarkers and the experienced Embarkers. They have been training for 6 months for this gruelling race of swim-bike-run (one of the hardest half’s to do).

The athletes from all our branches in Cape Town and Jozi North competed in great conditions on Sunday 28th January. He had a 98% competition rate with just 1 athlete not making the cut off. A highlight was watching an Embark athlete making it across the line after trying and failing for three previous years. He joined Embark, got the program and the support from the coach and other athletes,  and it just shows the power of group training and having a coach!

This ethos runs through all our coaches and all the branches.

On top of all our first timers completing the race and getting the medal, we also had 3 athletes qualifying for World 70.3 Champs. 2 of these athletes finished on the podium in their category too! Embark also offers personalised training for the more advanced athletes, so if you level is a bit beyond the average the we have a solution for you too! Come and find out how we can get you to that podium with our experienced and decorated coaches!
