Training for Ironman 70.3 Durban is under way…

The training for Ironman 70.3 Durban has been full steam ahead from the beginning of the month. There are 3 programs running currently. An intermediate group, these are more experienced athletes going for a pre set goal at the race. They train on power on the watt bikes, and heart rate for running sessions.

The Medal group are the athletes going for the medal, mainly newbies and beginners, but the emphasis is to finish the race and get the medal. They train similar distances to the Intermediate group, but do them at a lesser frantic pace 🙂

The third group is the Level program, these are the very new ‘triathletes’ all training to get to the required level of beginning the training for the Ironman 70.3 East London that starts early August. The level required here is 800m of swimming, 40kms of riding and 8kms of running. If you would like to join the group training for East London, then join us now to get to grips with the program.
