1st week in for the new Embark 70.3 triathletes…

So we are into the first week of our journey towards 703 Half Ironman South Africa. We have done our first bike, our first swim, and last night we did our first run. The main aim of the next 8 weeks is to get consistency and routine into our training. The group meets 4 times a week to train and then they are still required to do additional sessions on their own. This week the additional sessions are an extra swim and an extra run and an optional spin class/static bike session. Our first race this season is the Fitness Festival in Clanwillaim and that’s in 8 weeks from now, so we will start to incorporate brick sessions and transition training into our training quite soon. This weekend the athletes have to ride 2h3o. Keep an eye on the site for updates and progress! 🙂
