Week 5 for Knysna Half & Full Marathon Training…

After 3 weeks of progressive training, the Embark Knysna half and full marathon groups are taking a rest week. The rest week is vital and is as important as the training itself. The rest week is where the body can repair and recover and be ready for the next set of progressive running.

Week 5 will a building week again, and the half marathon group will begin their speed sessions. The groups are doing 4 group training sessions a week and all of these are coached by either STeve or Richie. On a weekly basis we are doing speed work, hill work, strength work and a long run.

Keep an eye on the website for the progress and improvement week on week for the athletes! The next group training running program starts mid July and this will be aimed at the Outsurance Gun Run in October. For more info about this please get in contact with us.
