And the half ironman journey is complete…

Its with much exciting that we congratulate the 2012/2013 beginner Embark 70.3 triathletes for an amazing 6 months of training, friendship and success. Yesterday we completed the Spec Savers 70.3 Half Ironman in East London in really really hot conditions. Many athletes were pulled off the course due to heat stroke and dehydration, but that aside, we had a fantastic show of finishes for Embark. There were definitely some amazing stories to be told on the day, and these will be posted by the athletes on the Embark site over the next week or so.  Lots of pictures to add to so keep an eye on the site as these get added. Its now a rest week for the seasoned triathletes, and time to consider what the next goal might be!

Coming up is the 12 weeks 2 Oceans training program, The new Beginners Triathlon group started last week, and the AfricanX coached group training program has started too. On the 1st February we begin a ‘Potential Provincial Duathlon Training Squad’, coached by Dianne McEwan and facilitated by Embark. This will be a selected group of athletes, and there is a criteria to be selected. Mail us for more info on this if you are interested of possibly making the provincial squad.

Enjoy the down time Embarkers and thanks for an amazing 6 months!
