The mileage is DONE…

This weekend we completed our distance work for the block. This means its taper time and time to rebuild the bodies and rest and recover for the big race on the 20th Jan. We will be cutting our distance drastically now this week, and the final week is merely race preparation and keeping the body alert.

Our session today was a brick session, a 50kms ride followed by a 10km run. We had wind on the bike, and heat on the run, perfect prep for race day! There is a vast improvement in the athletes from December, so the rest over Christmas and New Years paid off. Just a few short and sharp sessions for this coming week and then we are done! Looking so forward to the race!
