Silvermine open water swimming practice

Again we braved the howling wind to practice our open water swimming this weekend. We met at Silvermine Dam at the top of Ou Kaap se Weg. We started off with a tube changing practice session and once we were familiar with this we hit the water. We swam in a zig zag course, practising sighting and group swimming, getting used to swimming on someones feet and having someone on your feet. All essential practice for the 70.3 half ironman which is now in under 50 days!
