Embark Winter Programs

Winter is the time to train for Summer! The Winter season is upon us, but we have many ways to keep you motivated and get you up and outa bed! We currently have newbies training to attempt their first triathlon in September and we have slightly more intermediate athletes prepping for the MiWay Ultra Triathlon and the Race2Stanford. Our cyclists are grinding away through their Winter Miles program with the goal in mind being the Cape Classic 380 in November and then Double Century (Embark will again be entering many teams for this team race).  Knysna half and full marathon is around the corner, so that means that the Cape Town Marathon and the Gun Run half marathon programs start mid July. The newest event on  the calendar is the Cape Cross Tri, a 3 day stage race triathlon. It’s the first of its kind, and as always Embark will be involved with training athletes for this off-road triathlon.
Next Wednesday, 4th July, 7pm at the Green Point Cricket Club, we are hosting a 70.3 World Champs talk. We will be going through the entire race schedule and course profiles. Chatting around prepping and training for the race with coach Mike Redington, this includes the use of power in your training and pacing for running! We will have an account of last year’s world champs and what to expect for this years!!  We will show case our new world champs edition sleeved tri suit too. So an interesting evening at the club house, feel free to join us for the track session first at 6pm, then drinks and chat at the club house across the road.

Cape Town Marathon Atlantic Seaboard & Southern Suburbs Program

Join us for Cape Town’s premiere marathon training as we tackle the 10 weeks after the Knysna half marathon. We require you to have run at least a half marathon within the last 3 months or be able to complete a long run of 20km. 



Gun Run Program

Embark has set up a 13 week program that combines all the necessary training so that you can feel confident going into The Gun Run half marathon.The training is fun and focused in a coached group environment.

How will the training work:
You will receive a weekly program that includes the group training sessions and the individual sessions that you are required to do on your own. There will be three to four coached group running sessions per week. As we increase the mileage we will start to do longer runs on the weekend too, keeping the training fun but challenging, exploring all Cape Town running has to offer.

MiWay Cape Ultra Sprint Triathlon 

If you are considering entering the MiWay Cape Ultra Triathlon taking place on23 September 2018 at Theewaterskloof dam, or have already done so, then now is the time to start training for it. We are offering a complete beginners program for the newbies, as well as a progressive program for the more experienced athletes looking at finishing the ultra distance. 
Our groups are coached in a fun, safe and social environment.

Cape Cross Off-road Triathlon

We are now offering an off road option to our group training! We are aiming towards the Cape Cross Triathlon which will be held on the 12/13/14 October 2018. Do not miss out on this new 3 day stage race event and if you join the Embark team to train for it you will receive R1100 off your entry fee.

Join us for some fun cycles around the Cradle of man kind over the weekend and get your fitness and watts up during the week with a online training program that will get you through the the 95km cycle.
