Meet the Southern Suburbs tri coach – Kyle Lotz

Kyle was born and raised in East London. He has always been a sporty person, loving both participating in and watching sport. He has represented his province in swimming and has a passion for being fit and active. Kyle works full time as a Business Analyst for an international software company and enjoys both mental and physical challenges. He is also passionate about photography and enjoys being around and spending quality time with his friends and family. In 2016 Kyle found himself in a bit of a rut… unhappy, overweight and unfit. He knew he had to make a change and decided to enter something that really scared him. He chose to enter Ironman 70.3 South Africa in East London. This was the best decision he ever made! He lost 25kgs and has never regretted his decision. Achieving his goal to complete his first Ironman 70.3, has fueled his passion for the sport and to help others achieve what they might believe is near impossible. Since then, Kyle has completed 4 Ironman 70.3 events, the Coronation Double Century, multiple sprint and olympic distance triathlons and completed the Full Ironman in Port Elizabeth in 2018, where he managed the best swimming time out of the Embark group. Kyle endeavors to help others achieve their goals within the Southern suburbs group and plans on working on his own goals, which are to improve his speed at events and tackle some new events.
