Listed below are the triathlon programs that Embark Tri offers on a yearly basis: These are all coached group training sessions. You have the option to follow a program only, delivered by Training Peaks. Click here for more details on program only.
24 Week half IRONMAN prep program incorporating all you need to know about completing the gruelling half ironman.
- 400m swim
- 40km bike
- 5km run
Complete beginner Triathlete or Duathlete, our 15 week coached group training program will settle your nerves and get you confident to complete a sprint distance triathlon or duathlon.
Our 16 week program will get you set to complete either your first triathlon or get your personal best on sprint distance triathlon, this is a 600m swim / 20 km Cycle / 5km Run. The Sprint Triathletes have NO level of fitness required.
For the Ultra triathletes our program will get you a personal best when completing a 1.9km Swim / 90Km Cycle / 21km Run. These athletes must have the following fitness level:
- Swim: 400m nonstop open water
- Cycle: 40km on a road bike
- Run: 5-8km
Our 17 Week program will get you through this off-road 3 day triathlon experience. Triathletes that would like to join this program must have a mountain bike & obtain off-road biking skills, even though the course will not be very technical.
The training will prep you to complete:Day 1: Swim: 1.5km Theewaterskloof. Mtb: 35km Theewaterskloof to Grabouw Country Club. Run: 10km Grabouw Country Club
Day 2: Swim: 1.5km. Mtb: 28km. Run: 10km Grabouw Country Club
Day 3: Swim: 1.5km Grabouw Country Club. Mtb 27km Grabouw Country Club to top of Old Wagon Trail. Run: 13km Old Wagon Trail to Somerset West
